DISTRIBUTION
This species is globally distributed from Africa to Eurasia. Within India, it is found in Kashmir and other parts of the western Himalayan regions between altitude range of 1500-1800 metres Its is cultivated in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
